Patient Participation Group

The Aims of the Patient Participation Group

This is a group of volunteer patients who are involved in making sure the surgery provides needs and wishes of our patients.  This will help us to design the future health care need in our local community.

We encourage having representation of all patients group irrespective of age, race, gender or employment status.

We aim to foster links with our local community advice on improvements in the quality of service, initiating and responding to service development.

This group is composed of patient volunteers from different age groups.  We invite the patients who want to join the group or attend particular meetings to discuss their issues and ideas.

We look after patients’ communication, comfort, facilities and support.  We cannot involve any clinical matters or patient medical issues.

Our group is currently funded by the practice.

Please join as a volunteer.  It requires approximately one hour per every three months.  We currently need more members.  We need all age groups.

If you are in doubt about joining contact the surgery to attend a “sample” PRG meeting.
